Upcoming Events

I am SO excited to be the speaker at this wonderful event. The AAUW is an organization dedicated to advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. Each year, they raise enough funds to send several underprivileged girls to camp at UCSD.

At this event, I will be donating 20% of proceeds from book sales to the organization, and my husband (the owner of Cucina Italiana) will be donating 20% of sales from the restaurant.

Did you know that mummified crocodiles were used by the ancient Egyptians to store papyrus documents? Or that the father-in-law of Julius Caesar once owned a massive library that still exists, underground, today? We will travel through Italy and Egypt to explore the ancient databases that may still be hiding the true legacy of Cleopatra - the ambitious, inquisitive, and secretive last pharaoh of Egypt, from whom no single writing has ever been found.
